FL Spiral Classifier

A&C FL spiral classifier is widely used for separation plant. It features flexibility, reliable performance, safe and efficient. It can be combined with ball mill to form a closed circuit for preliminary classification and check classification, sometimes they can be applied for ore washing, desliming and dewatering as well.

A&C FL spiral classifier can be used to separate fine particles and liquid from coarse powder or light particles from heave particles or liquid from solid particles.

Types Of FL Spiral Classifier

According to the structure, the FL spiral classifier can be divided into high weir spiral classifier and immerged spiral classifier. According to the numbers of crew, it can be divided into single crew spiral classifier and double crew spiral classifier. The high weir spiral classifier is suitable for particles above 0.15mm while the immerged spiral classifier is suitable for particles below 0.15mm.

Working Principle

Different particles have different sizes and different specific gravities, so the fall velocities are also different. The fine particles will flow on the surface of the water and then discharges while the coarse particles sink to the bottom of the tank.

  • Simple structure and easy to maintain;
  • Easy operation and stable performance;
  • Gravity connection with Ball mills, slurry pump conveying is not necessary;
  • Large volume with buffering and conveying effect, better for grinding work.
